“I only see sunshine!”

Today during a work meeting a colleague said, “I only see sunshine,” when he was trying to convey that he was being optimistic about a challenge that was being discussed.  When he said it I immediately  thought to myself, “that is me, that is how I feel.”

I try to have a positive mental attitude but of course I have days when I feel grumpy or sad but when it comes down to it I shouldn’t feel anything other than blessed.  I try to remember there is someone out there that has something worse going on than me.

I’ve written about the concept of spreading light verses casting shadows and really believe and try to live this way.  Something as simple as a genuine smile and direct eye contact with a stranger could make someone’s day brighter.  Hope you “only see sunshine” too!
